Hyundai Home Shopping Moves to YouTube... Online Mall Customer Inflow Increases 35 Times↑
Hyundai Home Shopping announced on the 20th that customer traffic to its official online mall, Hyundai H Mall, has surged due to the launch effect of the YouTube entertainment show 'Apgwanggo Jejaksso' (Front Advertisement Workshop).
'Apgwanggo Jejaksso' is a YouTube entertainment content hosted by broadcaster Kwon Hyuk-soo, famous for his impersonation of actor Lee Kyung-young's voice, with a concept of negotiating prices for specific products. The discounts decided in the show are linked to special promotions held on Hyundai H Mall and other platforms.
In the first broadcast in April, the protein product 'Selex' was featured, and in the second broadcast in July, the global outdoor brand 'Stanley' was showcased. Hyundai H Mall held special promotions selling these products at discounts of up to 61% and 50%, respectively. Compared to typical promotions, the average customer inflow for the first and second broadcast promotions was 35 times higher, and 75% of the customers who purchased during these promotions were new customers.
A Hyundai Home Shopping official said, "Apgwanggo Jejaksso is a strategy to form a new fixed viewer base by using the YouTube platform familiar to the MZ generation with entertaining content." He added, "More than 70% of the viewers of Apgwanggo Jejaksso are in their 20s and 30s, highlighting the effect of acquiring new customers centered on the MZ generation."
Hyundai Home Shopping plans to accelerate its strategy to diversify its customer base encompassing the MZ generation by strengthening its unique content competitiveness. The third broadcast, released on this day, features content about the robot vacuum cleaner brand 'Roborock,' with comedian Lim Woo-il and actress Ji Ye-eun, who appears on the entertainment program 'SNL Korea,' enhancing the entertainment factor. Hyundai Home Shopping will sell the Roborock 'S7 Max Ultra' in a limited sale on Hyundai H Mall until the 24th at the discounted price decided during the broadcast.
