On the 20th, Korea Seven announced that Kyungho Choi, CEO of Seven Eleven, participated in the Single-Use Products Zero Challenge the previous afternoon, pledging to reduce the use of single-use products in daily life. The Single-Use Products Zero Challenge is an environmental protection campaign initiated by the Ministry of Environment in February. It is conducted in a relay format, pledging to minimize the use of single-use products and increase the use of reusable products in everyday life. CEO Choi participated after being nominated by Jonghun Baek, CEO of Kumho Petrochemical.
The challenge involves participants making hand gestures representing 1 and 0 to symbolize zero single-use products, filming it, pledging to reduce single-use product usage, and then nominating two next participants to post on social media. The nominated next participant must join the challenge within two weeks of being nominated and then nominate the next participants. After participating in the challenge, CEO Choi nominated Changyeop Lee, CEO of Lotte Wellfood, and Sanghyu Ahn, CEO of Delipham, as the next participants.
