Gurye-gun Conducts Technical Diagnosis Service for Public Sewage Treatment Plant

Gichon and 4 Other Sites, Facility Improvements Through Technical Diagnosis, etc.

Gurye-gun, Jeollanam-do, is conducting a service project with a budget of 350 million KRW by December this year to improve the treatment efficiency of public sewage treatment plants and enhance the water quality of the discharge areas.

The county announced that it will carry out a technical diagnosis service for five public sewage treatment plants?Gichon, Jukjeong, Gwangui, Jeoncheon, and Naejuk?and 39 km of sewage pipelines.

The diagnosis includes a comprehensive inspection such as investigating the characteristics of incoming pollutants, current condition diagnosis of facilities and operations, identifying facility issues and efficiency improvement plans, and maintenance management plans for the facilities.

Through this technical diagnosis, the county plans to identify problems in the public sewage treatment plants and establish proactive improvement measures.

A Gurye-gun official stated, “The technical diagnosis of the five public sewage treatment plants, including Gichon, is expected to greatly contribute to creating a pleasant urban environment by resolving odor complaints, preventing soil pollution, and improving river water quality.”
