Polaris Office Collaborates with Bowling Platform 'Pingong' Developer to Build AI Platform
On the 19th, Polaris Office announced that it will collaborate on a project with Needmade, the developer of the bowling platform 'Pingong.'
Both companies will leverage the subscriber network of Polaris Office, an office software with 125 million global users. They plan to cooperate in applying AI for building and operating the Pingong community, establishing a reward system, predicting match outcomes, supporting training through ball trajectory and posture analysis, and assisting score judgment.
Needmade, founded by actor Seo Dongwon, launched Pingong, the only bowling platform in Korea, in May 2022. Pingong is an O2O (Online to Offline) platform that allows users to enjoy bowling games remotely at various locations nationwide. Since its launch, it has expanded its platform business by signing franchise contracts with 19 bowling alleys across the country.
Bowlers who are far apart can not only play real-time bowling games through Pingong but also save their game videos and scores, enabling specific data extraction and analysis. Recently, a 2:2 remote match was held connecting a bowling alley in Bucheon, 400 km away, with one in Busan. The platform has gained attention by collaborating with major game companies and participating in last year's international game exhibition 'G-STAR.'
Ji Jungkyung, CEO of Polaris Office, said, "We want to support Needmade's passion and efforts in creating a new bowling culture through the P2E O2O platform," adding, "We have established a strategic partnership to build the community and develop the platform business."

Seo Dongwon, CEO of Needmade, stated, "We plan to add fun to the somewhat simple game of bowling and try various services to help the bowling industry establish itself more successfully," and added, "The ultimate goal of Pingong is to connect online and offline, and further expand the industry to archery, shooting, and more."
