Daewoong Pharmaceutical Selected as Asia's Best Workplace in 2023
Evaluation of 2,400 Companies in 15 Asian Countries
Daewoong Pharmaceutical announced on the 19th that it was ranked 16th in the large enterprise category in the '2023 Asia’s Best Workplaces' organized by GPTW (Great Place To Work). This is the highest ranking among domestic large enterprises.
The best workplaces in Asia were ranked based on scores from the Trust Management Index survey, which assessed five factors: trust, respect, fairness, pride, and camaraderie, as well as the cultural management evaluations submitted by each company to determine how deeply GPTW’s core elements were rooted. Out of 2,400 companies across 15 Asian countries, 200 companies were selected.
Daewoong Pharmaceutical explained that its "great workplace culture," which supports autonomous and flexible environments enabling employees to grow independently, was highly evaluated. In February, it was also selected as one of Korea’s Best Workplaces by GPTW, simultaneously receiving recognition as ▲Best Workplace for Millennials in Korea ▲Best Workplace for Working Moms ▲Most Respected CEO in Korea ▲and in the GPTW Innovation Leader category.
On the 14th, GPTW held the 9th Asia’s Best Workplaces Awards ceremony at the Federation of Korean Industries building. At the ceremony, Ham Boreum, Head of the Human Resources Planning Office, stated, "We provide an environment where employees can immerse themselves autonomously without being constrained by the formality of working hours, locations, or methods, and when company profits and employee growth conflict, we prioritize employee growth. Daewoong Pharmaceutical aims for its employees to grow into the industry’s top talents."
