Previously, the libraries were closed and unavailable on their regular closing days, which are the 1st and 3rd Tuesdays of every month, as well as on statutory holidays. However, starting from next month’s National Foundation Day, public libraries will be available for free use as study and reading spaces on all closing days.
The locations are Jayang 4-dong Library and Gunja-dong Library. They will operate on a total of eight closing days, including National Foundation Day, Hangul Day, and Christmas, opening from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. Both locations boast the latest facilities and spacious, comfortable environments.
Visitors only need to fill out a usage log after visiting to use the space freely. Two dedicated staff members will guide library usage and assist with safety and security management. However, book returns, loans, and other services will only be available on regular operating days.
