Low-Income Children Surgery Support Project
Announced at Social Contribution Concert 'Uri MomoCon'
Woori Financial Group announced on the 18th that it will launch the ‘Woori Rookie (Look&Hear) Project,’ a support program for low-income children requiring vision and hearing surgeries.
Lim Jong-ryong, Chairman of Woori Financial Group and Chairman of the Woori Financial Future Foundation, revealed this at the social contribution concert ‘Woori MomoCon’ held on the 17th. IU, Woori Financial’s brand ambassador, also participated. The Woori Rookie Project is a program that provides approximately 1 billion KRW annually to support surgery and rehabilitation treatment costs for about 200 low-income children and adolescents who need eye surgeries or cochlear implant surgeries.
Chairman Lim said, “We are starting the Woori Rookie Project to give the gift of light and sound to children struggling with vision and hearing impairments,” adding, “At the next Woori MomoCon stage, I will stand together with children who have regained their sight and hearing.”

Meanwhile, Woori Financial Group held ‘Woori MomoCon’ at Nanji Hangang Park in Seoul from the 16th to the 17th. Approximately 8,000 special guests, including youth preparing for independence, artists with developmental disabilities, scholarship recipients from the Woori Multicultural Scholarship Foundation, Woori Heroes (firefighters, police officers, soldiers), and NGO staff members benefiting from social contribution programs were invited.
