40s Woman Who Jumped from Car Running at Midnight Dies... Police Launch Investigation
A woman in her 40s jumped from a vehicle driving on the Gangbyeonbuk-ro in Seoul late at night and died, prompting the police to launch an investigation.
On the 18th, the Mapo Police Station in Seoul announced that they had started a preliminary investigation after a woman in her 40s, identified as A, fell to her death from a vehicle traveling from Yanghwa Bridge toward Seongsan Bridge on Gangbyeonbuk-ro at around 11:50 p.m. the previous day.
The reporter was B, a man in his 40s who was driving the vehicle. During the police investigation, he reportedly stated that "A opened the door and jumped out while under the influence of alcohol." Although there was no additional collision with the vehicle after A fell, she died after being transported to the hospital.

Immediately after the accident, B underwent a breathalyzer test and was found not to be under the influence of alcohol, and a rapid drug test also returned negative results. The police have secured the vehicle’s black box and are investigating whether B has any criminal charges.
