Gwangju Seobu Fire Station Operates Illegal Activity Inspection and Reward Reporting System Year-Round
Gwangju Seobu Fire Station announced on the 18th that it will operate a reward system for reporting illegal activities related to fire facilities installed inside buildings throughout the year to encourage reporting.
The reward system targets reports related to cultural and assembly facilities, sales facilities, complex buildings, elderly and child care facilities, neighborhood living facilities, and recreational facilities. Illegal activities include ▲closure or blockage of fire facilities ▲neglecting malfunctioning equipment ▲placing objects around evacuation and fire prevention facilities, among others.
Citizens who discover illegal activities can take photos of the scene and submit a report within 48 hours by visiting the fire station or via mail, fax, or information communication networks.
Afterward, the responsible staff will verify the site and, through internal review at the fire station, the reporter will receive a reward of 50,000 KRW in cash or traditional market/Onnuri gift certificates.
