Korea Housing Finance Corporation (HF) announced on the 18th that it has appointed Lee Hwan-seok, former Deputy Governor of the Bank of Korea, as its new Vice President.

Vice President Lee graduated from Yeongdeungpo High School and Yonsei University with a degree in Economics, and earned a Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Illinois, USA. After joining the Bank of Korea in 1991, he served as team leader of the Policy Planning Bureau, resident representative in Washington, director of the Monetary Policy Committee, director of the Financial Market Bureau, and director of the Research Bureau, before serving as Deputy Governor from March 2020.
Vice President Lee stated, "Based on 32 years of experience and expertise in policy implementation and monetary affairs accumulated at the Bank of Korea, I will do my best to innovate and develop the corporation into a public institution trusted by the people."
