Gori Unit 4 Reaches Normal Output After Planned Preventive Maintenance Completion
Unit 4 of Kori Nuclear Power Plant, having completed its 27th planned preventive maintenance, has reached normal output (100% output).
Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power Co., Ltd. (KHNP) Kori Nuclear Power Headquarters announced on the 18th that Unit 4 of Kori Nuclear Power Plant (Pressurized Water Reactor type, 950 MW class) resumed power generation after completing its 27th planned preventive maintenance and reached 100% output on the 16th.
During this planned preventive maintenance period, Unit 4 underwent statutory inspections in accordance with the Nuclear Safety Act and the Electric Utility Act, and conducted inspections and maintenance on major equipment and facilities to enhance the reliability of the power plant.

In particular, the penetration pipes and guide tubes at the bottom of the reactor vessel were inspected and repaired according to relevant technical standards, and the installation of cable fire protection systems was carried out to enable safe shutdown of the power plant in case of fire, thereby further strengthening the safety of the power plant.
