Toyota Launches Hybrid Minivan Alphard... Price Set at 99.2 Million Won
Toyota Korea officially launched the hybrid (HEV) minivan Alphard in the domestic market on the 18th.
The premium minivan Alphard released domestically on this day is the 4th generation model, first unveiled worldwide in June. It features an interior space that maximizes passenger convenience, comfortable ride quality, as well as various convenience features. Toyota Korea explained that the Alphard was developed to be used for various purposes, from official vehicles to family cars and leisure vehicles.
The Alphard maintains the traditional minivan form while incorporating a dynamic design. In particular, the side features a dynamic body line and a straight chrome garnish, creating a dynamic silhouette. The interior is finished with soft leather, designed to provide a comfortable and luxurious feel. Heated and ventilated Nappa leather seats and driver’s seat memory functions enhance driver convenience.
The second-row space is equipped with executive lounge seats. Toyota introduced low-resilience memory foam material for the first time in the backrest and armrest parts of these seats. This minimizes vibrations transmitted to the body. Additionally, the urethane material in the lower cushion disperses body pressure, reducing fatigue in the lower back and legs during long trips. Other features include ▲electric leg rests ▲air pressure-based acupressure function ▲reclining function ▲folding table embedded in the armrest ▲and second-row air curtains.
The second-row seats feature both electric power slide and manual slide functions, allowing quick and convenient adjustment of the seat position. The third-row space offers reclining functionality and armrests for comfortable seating. Lifting the seats left and right provides additional cargo space.
The Alphard delivers optimal ride comfort in various driving conditions. For the first time in Toyota, vibration-damping rubber bushings are applied to the second-row seat cushion frame to minimize lateral seat movement. Pitch Body Control reduces vertical body vibrations. This helps reduce fatigue during long drives and maintains comfortable ride quality.
The Alphard is equipped with a 2.5ℓ hybrid (HEV) powertrain. The combination of a 2.5ℓ Atkinson cycle engine and electric motor produces a total system output of 250 horsepower. The HEV system achieves a combined fuel efficiency of 13.5 km/ℓ. Additionally, the 'all-wheel-drive E-Four system' enhances driving stability by utilizing front and rear motors depending on road conditions.
The Toyota Alphard is sold with a single 2.5ℓ hybrid powertrain. The price is 99.2 million KRW (including 5% individual consumption tax).
