Popular Chuseok Gifts on Wadiz: 'Hanwoo, Yakgwa, Shine Muscat'
Preferred Items Are 'Food', 'Health Functional Foods', and 'Beauty Products' in Order
Wadiz (CEO Shin Hye-sung) announced on the 18th that the most popular items in this year's Chuseok special exhibition funding opening were 'Hanwoo', 'Yakgwa', and 'Shine Muscat' in that order.
Based on the number of funding openings by category, 'Food', which includes meat and fruit, accounted for the largest share at 62%. This was followed by 'Health Functional Foods (15%)' such as red ginseng and vitamins, and 'Beauty Products (11%)' including skincare and bath products.
In the food category, the three items Hanwoo, Yakgwa, and Shine Muscat accounted for a high proportion of 34%. Among fruit items, Shine Muscat attracted attention by surpassing traditional Chuseok gifts like apples and pears.
Among traditional Korean sweets, Yakgwa is very popular, exceeding 1570% of its funding goal. It appears that recent trends among younger generations have influenced this. Salt is also popular as a Chuseok gift. The 'Mineral Salt' introduced through Wadiz funding drew attention by achieving 2150% of its funding goal.
