KB Asset Management Launches 'KB Global AI Robotics EMP Fund'
KB Asset Management announced on the 18th that it plans to launch the 'KB Global AI Robotics EMP Fund' on the 19th.
The 'KB Global AI Robotics EMP Fund' primarily invests in global ETFs related to AI and the robotics industry. At the same time, it is designed to respond to rapid changes in the AI and robotics sectors by investing up to 40% of its assets in individual high-quality growth stocks.
While existing AI-related funds have focused on specific areas such as robotics or AI, the 'KB Global AI Robotics EMP Fund' is differentiated by investing broadly across the AI companies that perform the role of the human brain and the robotics industry that acts as the body executing AI's instructions.
The main investment themes include AI software, AI applications, robotics, and IT hardware, aiming to build a balanced portfolio without concentration in any single area. Key stocks expected to be included are Microsoft, which is investing astronomical amounts in AI-related businesses; NVIDIA CORP, a leading AI hardware company; INTUITIVE SURGICAL INC, a U.S. manufacturer of surgical robots; ABB LTD-REG, a Swiss industrial robotics company; and FANUC CORP, a Japanese industrial robotics firm.
Lee Seok-hee, Executive Director of the Pension WM Division at KB Asset Management, said, “With the increasing elderly population and declining birth rates, the growth of the AI and robotics industries is expected to accelerate. The KB Global AI Robotics EMP Fund, utilizing ETFs, will provide an efficient investment opportunity across the AI and robotics sectors.”
