Caught Filming Near Bus Stop by Bucheon High School
A man in his 30s who secretly filmed high school girls on their way home using a cellphone camera was arrested by the police.
On the 16th, the Wonmi Police Station in Bucheon, Gyeonggi Province, booked a man in his 30s, identified as A, without detention on charges of illegal filming using a camera, under the Special Act on the Punishment of Sexual Crimes, the day before.
A is suspected of secretly filming high school girls passing by at a bus stop near a high school located in Bucheon City around 4 p.m. on the 14th.
He was caught by the police who responded to a report stating "someone is filming illegally" and was taken to the police station for voluntary questioning.
The police are investigating whether there are additional offenses by conducting digital forensics (evidence extraction) on A's four cellphones.
During the police investigation, A claimed, "I filmed because the girls' body proportions looked good," and insisted, "There was no sexual intent."

A police official stated, "The number of female students filmed by A's camera has not yet been determined," and added, "Further investigation is planned."
