Gasoline prices rise for 10th week... Gasoline 1,759.6 won · Diesel 1,655.3 won
The retail prices of gasoline and diesel at domestic gas stations have been rising for 10 consecutive weeks.
According to the Korea National Oil Corporation's oil price information system on the 16th, the average retail price of gasoline nationwide during the second week of September (10th?14th) recorded 1,759.6 KRW, up 9.6 KRW from the previous week.

View original imageThe average gasoline price this week in Seoul, the region with the highest prices domestically, rose 10.1 KRW to 1,841.9 KRW compared to the previous week. Gwangju, the cheapest region in the country, recorded 1,731.5 KRW, up 8.5 KRW from the previous week. By brand, SK Energy was the most expensive at 1,766.8 KRW, while budget gas stations were the cheapest at 1,732.8 KRW.
The diesel retail price increased by 14.7 KRW to 1,655.3 KRW compared to the previous week.
International oil prices continued to rise this week due to the temporary closure of Libyan oil export terminals and the U.S. announcement of additional sanctions against Russia.

The average price of Dubai crude, the benchmark for imported crude oil prices, rose by 2.6 USD to 92.9 USD per barrel this week compared to the previous week. The international gasoline price increased by 3.4 USD to 106.7 USD. The international automotive diesel price rose by 4.7 USD to 126.5 USD. Changes in international oil prices are reflected in domestic prices with a lag of about two weeks.
