Geumcheon-gu Seeks Honorary Residents for 2023
Geumcheon-gu Accepts Honorary Resident Candidate Nominations by September 25 via Visit to District Office's Autonomous Administration Division, Mail, or Email... Public Organization Heads, Social Group Leaders with 10+ Members, and 10+ Residents Can Recommend... Honorary Resident Certificates to Be Presented at October 13 Geumcheon Residents' Day Ceremony
Geumcheon-gu (Mayor Yu Seong-hoon) announced that it is accepting nominations for this year's honorary residents who have contributed to regional development and the promotion of goodwill with residents until September 25.
The nomination targets are foreigners or residents of other cities and districts who ▲ have contributed to the development of Geumcheon-gu and greatly enhanced its status ▲ have significantly contributed to promoting exchanges, trade cooperation, or goodwill with Geumcheon-gu residents ▲ serve as role models for Geumcheon-gu residents and hold symbolic meaning.
Nominators can be heads of public organizations, heads of social organizations with more than 10 members, or 10 or more residents of Geumcheon-gu. Candidate applications can be submitted by visiting the Geumcheon-gu Office's Autonomous Administration Division, or by mail or email until September 25. The nomination form can be found in the 'Notices & Announcements' section on the Geumcheon-gu Office website.
On October 13, at the Geumcheon-gu Residents' Day commemorative event, those selected as honorary residents will be presented with an honorary resident certificate and plaque. Honorary residents receive administrative benefits equivalent to those of Geumcheon-gu residents. They are also honored with invitations to various events and opportunities to be appointed as committee members.
The Geumcheon-gu honorary resident system has been in operation since 2015 to honor those who have quietly worked across various fields and contributed to the development of the district, thereby enhancing their sense of honor.
