Protect the National Critical Infrastructure! ... Korea National Oil Corporation Conducts 'Disaster Preparedness Regular Training' at Oil Storage Base
On the 14th, Korea National Oil Corporation conducted a joint "Disaster Preparedness Regular Drill" with related agencies at the Yongin Oil Storage Base.
This drill was carried out to enhance disaster response capabilities for critical storage facilities and to check the cooperation system with related organizations. The disaster preparedness regular drill, presided over by Kim Dong-seop, President of Korea National Oil Corporation, involved five agencies including the Oil Corporation, Yongin City Hall, Yongin Fire Station, Yongin Eastern Police Station, and Cheoin-gu Public Health Center.
In this regular drill, to thoroughly check practical disaster response capabilities, the Oil Corporation conducted training according to its own plan, followed by expert consultation and evaluation from the Ministry of the Interior and Safety. The drill assumed a complex disaster scenario involving hazardous material fires caused by tanker accidents and the spread of wildfires.
Korea National Oil Corporation verified the response system according to on-site action manuals for initial response, fire and wildfire suppression, and recovery for each disaster situation, and focused on checking whether the disaster safety communication network and efficient cooperation system with related agencies were functioning properly.
Korea National Oil Corporation and related organizations are conducting fire response training as part of regular disaster preparedness drills.

He added, "I ask all employees working at the oil storage base, a key national infrastructure, and all members of the corporation to do their best to practice safety responsibility management."
