Gwangju Seo-gu, Changes in Operating Hours of COVID-19 Screening Clinics
Seo-gu, Gwangju Metropolitan City (District Mayor Kim Ikang) announced on the 14th that the operating hours of the public health center's screening clinic will be adjusted starting from the 16th.
Due to the downgrade of COVID-19 infectious disease to level 4 and changes in the priority groups for PCR testing resulting in a decrease in the number of tests, the Seo-gu screening clinic will operate from 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM on weekdays (closed for disinfection from 11:30 AM to 1:00 PM), from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM on Saturdays and public holidays, and will be closed on Sundays.
The priority groups for PCR testing at the public health center screening clinic have also been changed to ▲elderly persons aged 60 and above ▲those requiring COVID-19 testing based on a doctor's opinion ▲workers in vulnerable facilities ▲hospitalized patients and one accompanying caregiver (guardian) per patient. Relevant supporting documents are required for each test subject.
Park Haejung, head of the Infectious Disease Management Division of Seo-gu, said, “Although the COVID-19 infectious disease level has been downgraded, special caution is needed for the elderly and workers in high-risk facilities,” adding, “We ask that everyone voluntarily follow quarantine rules such as handwashing, cough etiquette, wearing masks, and regular ventilation in daily life.”
Meanwhile, during the Chuseok holiday from the 28th of this month to the 3rd of next month, the screening clinic will operate from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM. For COVID-19 related testing inquiries, please contact the Gwangju Seo-gu Public Health Center screening clinic.
