Ha Tae-kyung: "Republic of Korea Must Provide Weapons Support to Ukraine"
Assemblyman from Yeo Party, YTN Radio Interview
"Russia Has Already Become South Korea's Enemy"
Ha Tae-kyung, a member of the People Power Party, stated on the 14th, "South Korea should provide weapons support to Ukraine," adding, "Doing so can prevent Russia from giving more support to North Korea."
On the same day, Ha appeared on YTN Radio's 'News King Park Ji-hoon' and said, "In fact, we have refrained from providing weapons support in the Ukraine war," adding, "At this point, we must clearly show that Russia will pay a price, and we must not appear weak in this international political arena."
He continued, "If you help North Korea and effectively enhance their ability to attack us, we have no choice but to hurt Russia as well," explaining, "Gradually, starting with non-lethal weapons like interceptor missiles, and if it gets worse, even lethal weapons, showing this is the way to prevent Russia's weapons support to North Korea."
In response to concerns that "providing weapons might worsen the security situation in the region," he replied, "It has already worsened." Ha said, "Currently, North Korea is receiving significant support in missile technology, satellite technology, and submarine technology," and predicted, "North Korea's missile technology will become more precise, reconnaissance satellites will observe our side, and drone attacks will become highly threatening."
He added, "Russia has already become an enemy of South Korea. Therefore, I believe the Presidential Office should come out with a clear stance on retaliatory measures against Russia."
