Pukyong National University Yeongnam Sea Grant Center Holds Marine Debris Collection Activity
More than 50 Participants Including Professors and Students from the Department of Ocean Engineering
The Yeongnam Sea Grant Center at Pukyong National University (Director Incheol Lee, Professor of Ocean Engineering) held a marine debris collection activity on the 12th in Tongyeong, Gyeongnam.

View original imageOn this day, about 40 students from the Department of Ocean Engineering at Pukyong National University, Professor Kyunghoe Kim, employees from the Eastern Office of Hallyeohaesang National Park, and about 50 members of the Hwasam Fishing Village Cooperative participated in environmental cleanup activities such as picking up marine debris around Banghwa Island in Tongyeong.
Pukyong National University conducted this activity as part of its public service project for marine debris collection in the Yeongnam region, while carrying out various research, education, and events for marine environmental protection.

The Yeongnam Sea Grant Center at Pukyong National University is implementing the Korea Marine Development Program (Sea Grant) of the Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries, promoting regional issue research and public service projects for the advancement of marine and fisheries industries in the Yeongnam area (Busan, Ulsan, Gyeongnam), including training specialized fisheries personnel.
