Operation of 'Jangnok Wetland Ecology School' in Gwangsan-gu, Gwangju
Gwangsan-gu, Gwangju Metropolitan City, is operating the 'Our Jangnok Wetland Ecology School.'
Participants can learn about the process of designating Jangnok Wetland as a 'National Wetland Protection Area' and the stories behind it, as well as the types and functions of wetlands and the current status of flora and fauna.
There will also be time to explore Jangnok Wetland firsthand and engage in environmental cleanup activities.
The purpose is to raise awareness of the value of wetlands, which play an important role in responding to the climate crisis and achieving carbon neutrality, and to promote environmental conservation consciousness.
The education program will be held twice: from the 19th to the 22nd of this month and from the 11th to the 13th of next month, with about 50 citizens (25 per session) expected to participate.
