The Vostochny Cosmodrome is located about 1,500 km north of Vladivostok, which was previously expected, and is a scientific complex concentrated with advanced rocket and satellite technologies. Since North Korea has already failed twice in launching reconnaissance satellites, this meeting is expected to have symbolic significance as North Korea seeks to acquire advanced technologies such as satellites from Russia.
After the summit, Kim Jong-un is also expected to visit the Sukhoi fighter jet production plant in Komsomolsk-on-Amur, an industrial city in Khabarovsk Krai.
