Dongjak-gu 'WA Boramae! Exciting Festival 2' Held
Festival Created Together with Residents on the 16th Featuring Cultural Performances, Singing Contest, Experience Booths, and Food Market
Dongjak-gu (Mayor Park Il-ha) announced that it will hold the "2nd Shindaebang 2-dong WA Boramae! Exciting Festival" at Boramae Elementary School on September 16.
This festival, now in its second year, will take place from 10:30 AM to 3:00 PM at the Boramae Elementary School playground and a section of the road in front of the main gate (Yeouidaebang-ro 16-gil 30).
The event, prepared together by residents, organizations, and related institutions, offers a variety of programs including sights to see, activities to enjoy, and food to taste.
The opening ceremony will begin with pre-show performances such as line dance, Boramae Elementary School band performance, and dance by students from Sudo Girls' High School.
From 12:00 PM onwards, cultural performances including guitar shows, the Exciting Family Singing Contest, dance, and trot singer performances will enhance the festival atmosphere.
Around the event site, visitors can enjoy popular programs for children such as sticker tattoos, tarot readings, beaded bracelets, and balloon art, as well as various experience booths like fire safety training, flea markets, and calligraphy.
Additionally, residents can enjoy over 10 types of food including Sotteok Sotteok (skewered rice cakes and sausages), tteokbokki, buckwheat pancakes, and kimchi pancakes at affordable prices under 3,000 KRW.
Furthermore, anticipating a large crowd, the district has strengthened safety measures by deploying safety personnel around the event site and establishing and operating an on-site joint control room.
