Cheongsong-gun Health and Medical Center Operates Visiting Korean Medicine Program at Senior Centers
Cheongsong-gun, Gyeongbuk Province, is operating the ‘Visiting Korean Medicine Project’ for medically vulnerable elderly from September 5 to October 31 at the Cheongsong-gun Health and Medical Center.
The Cheongsong-gun Health and Medical Center runs Korean medicine programs every Tuesday and Wednesday, focusing on three senior centers in Gaksan-ri, Jinbo-myeon; Nulin 3-ri, Hyeondong-myeon; and Jigyeong-ri, Pacheon-myeon. A Korean medicine doctor visits the senior centers to provide one-on-one health consultations and acupuncture treatments to alleviate musculoskeletal symptoms and offer personalized health management services.
In particular, this ‘Visiting Korean Medicine Project’ is expected to greatly help improve self-health management abilities, prevent complications, and enhance daily living and independence by providing customized visiting health management services at the senior centers, which are the main living spaces for the elderly.
