Gyeongnam Province "Accepting Nominations for the 1st Gyeongnam Industrial Safety Awards!"
Gyeongsangnam-do will accept nominations for the '2023 Gyeongsangnam-do Industrial Safety Awards' from the 12th to the 27th of this month.
On the 12th, Gyeongnam Province announced that it will award the Industrial Safety Awards for the first time this year to recognize companies that have actively participated in and cooperated with industrial accident prevention activities and contributed to spreading a culture of industrial safety.
According to the province, the eligibility criteria for candidates are excellent companies that have been operating in the province for more than three years as of the announcement date and have had no industrial accidents in the past three years.
Companies that are delinquent in national or local taxes, those publicly listed for violations of the Industrial Safety and Health Act or the Labor Standards Act, companies currently involved in criminal trials or that have been criminally punished, and other companies restricted from government award recommendations are not eligible to be candidates.
Companies wishing to apply can receive a recommendation letter from city or county offices, the Gyeongnam Employment and Labor Office, the Korea Occupational Safety and Health Agency, the Korean Confederation of Trade Unions Gyeongnam Regional Headquarters, chambers of commerce, or the Korea Federation of SMEs, and submit it along with related documents to the Gyeongsangnam-do Labor-Management-Government Secretariat.
The province plans to select five final companies in November through document evaluation, on-site inspections, and a selection committee review, awarding one Grand Prize, one Excellence Award, and three Merit Awards.
