Minister Kim Young-ho meets families of abductees and POW victims... "Pressure North Korea for resolution"
Minister of Unification Kim Young-ho met with repatriated Korean War prisoners of war (POWs) and families of abductees and POW victims at the Government Seoul Office on the 11th, the Ministry of Unification announced.
At the meeting with Minister Kim, repatriated POW Kim Jong-su, families of wartime abductee victims Park Hye-ja and Lee Kyung-chan, families of post-war abductee victims Hwang In-cheol, and families of POWs Son Myung-hwa and Lee Soon-geum were present.
During the meeting, Minister Kim criticized the North Korean authorities for violating the human rights of POWs and abductees and stated that he would pressure North Korea to resolve related issues in solidarity with the international community.

He added, "The newly established Abductee Countermeasures Team on the 8th will be in charge of issues concerning abductees, detainees, and POWs," and explained, "We plan to explore various solutions, strengthen intergovernmental cooperation, and expand public consensus."
