He served as a prosecutor at the Daegu District Prosecutors' Office Pohang Branch and the Busan District Prosecutors' Office, then as a research prosecutor at the Supreme Prosecutors' Office. In 2011, he served as a prosecutor and deputy chief prosecutor at the Seoul Central District Prosecutors' Office, and in October of the same year, during the Lee Myung-bak administration, he worked as a senior administrative officer in the Civil Affairs 2 Secretary Office of the Presidential Office's Civil Affairs Secretariat.
Subsequently, he held positions as a prosecutor at the Seoul High Prosecutors' Office, head of the Public Security Department at the Gwangju District Prosecutors' Office, head of the 5th Criminal Division at the Seoul Western District Prosecutors' Office, head of the Crime Information Division 1 at the Supreme Prosecutors' Office, head of the Advanced Crime Investigation Division 2 at the Seoul Central District Prosecutors' Office, chief of the Advanced Industry Protection Special Investigation Team at the Suwon District Prosecutors' Office, Defense Acquisition Program Administration (DAPA) Defense Acquisition Inspector, deputy chief prosecutor at the Seoul Central District Prosecutors' Office, and chief of the Anyang Branch of the Suwon District Prosecutors' Office. While serving in the prosecution, Attorney Lee investigated major cases across various fields including special investigations, public security (labor and election), foreign affairs, taxation, and criminal law. During his tenure at the Presidential Office's Civil Affairs Secretariat, he collaborated closely with personnel dispatched from various investigative agencies such as the Board of Audit and Inspection, the Fair Trade Commission, the National Tax Service, the Financial Supervisory Service, the police, and the National Intelligence Service.
As the Defense Acquisition Inspector (director-level) at DAPA, he was responsible for verifying and approving the entire process of defense capability improvement projects related to the development and procurement of weapons, as well as overseeing legal support tasks related to various defense projects, including litigation, sanctions against fraudulent contractors, and interpretation of regulations.

Attorney Lee has the advantage of understanding various work processes through his extensive experience in prosecution and secondments to other agencies. Based on this, he has the strength to promote close collaboration with large law firms, small and medium-sized law firms, and individual specialized attorneys. Additionally, during his prosecution career, he has been highly regarded by his seniors and juniors for his rational approach to work and gentle personality.
