Jung-gu, Recruiting Participants for Health Leader Training on 'How to Walk Well'
Jung-gu, Seoul (District Mayor Kim Gil-seong) announced on the 11th that it is recruiting participants for the basic training course for health leaders who will lead the health promotion of local residents until the 22nd of this month.
This training is the "5th Basic Course for Health Leader Development," consisting of ▲correct walking posture ▲warm-up exercises ▲stretching methods, etc. The training will be conducted over a total of 16 hours from October 4th to 17th. Upon completion of the training, participants will be qualified to work as health leaders within the district and will also earn 10,000 health mileage points.
After completing the basic training, those who complete the advanced training will be able to lead "physical strength activities" and will have the opportunity to obtain the "Level 2 Walking Leader" certification from the Korea Walking Association, a nonprofit organization.
Jung-gu health leaders actively participate and contribute to various resident health promotion projects such as the "9988 Senior Center Program," "Cheongbaji School," and "Walking Good Day!" throughout all stages.
Jung-gu is the first autonomous district to establish a Health Branch Office and is carrying out various activities to promote residents' health, such as "health walking activation" and "nutrition projects by life cycle." On November 4th of this year, a "Jung-gu Residents Walking Competition" will be held at Namsan to allow people of all ages and genders to fully enjoy the pleasure of walking.
