Muan-gun Conducts Special Guidance and Inspection to Prevent Environmental Pollution

During the Chuseok Holiday: 3 Weeks of Supervision and Management of Environmental Pollutant Emission Sites

Muan-gun, Jeollanam-do (Governor Kim San) will conduct special guidance and inspections over the next three weeks targeting 40 environmental pollutant emission sites within the jurisdiction in celebration of the Chuseok holiday.

According to the county on the 8th, they plan to strengthen management and supervision of environmental pollutant emission sites and focus on cracking down on illegal environmental pollution activities that exploit periods of inspection negligence such as long holidays and weekends.

This special guidance and inspection will simultaneously check multiple emission facilities at sites that have two or more environmental pollutant emission facilities installed, improving inspection efficiency and reducing the burden on business operators.

The main inspection items include checking the operation status of emission and prevention facilities, preparation of operation logs, completion of environmental technician training, water quality testing of final discharged water from wastewater discharge facilities, and compliance with related laws regarding waste management and proper disposal within the business site. The plan focuses on proactive measures to prevent environmental pollution accidents, especially in vulnerable areas and sites with frequent complaints.

Governor Kim San stated, “We will do our best to prevent environmental pollution accidents through special guidance and inspections during the Chuseok holiday, so that visitors and residents of our county can spend the holiday in a pleasant environment.”
