Boseong Youth Community Hosts Local Cultural Festival

Boseong Youth Initiative, Supporting the Challenges and Dreams of Young People

Boseong-gun, Jeollanam-do announced that on the 9th, a local cultural festival organized by the Boseong-gun Youth Community will be held at the lawn square of Boseong-gun Office.

This festival will simultaneously host ‘Have You Been Young?’ by the Boseong-gun Youth Council (Representative Yu Sang-yeon) and ‘Blue Sky Day’ by Danmihoe (President Park Mi-young).

The festival holds great significance as it is organized by Boseong youth to celebrate Youth Day (September 16), supporting the challenges and dreams of young people and providing an event that all residents can enjoy together.

‘Have You Been Young?’ features programs such as gentle small talks to check in with youth, Youth Microphone (performances by amateur young artists), and a lucky draw.

‘Blue Sky Day’ includes a special event where participants wearing pink clothes receive a simple survey and are given shopping bags. The event also consists of a flea market, experience booths, food booths, and an air pollution prevention campaign for a blue sky.

Park Mi-young, president of Danmihoe, said, “Since the youth of Boseong are leading this event to listen to young voices and reflect their perspectives, we ask for your great interest.”

A Boseong-gun official stated, “This festival is an event planned and conducted independently by local youth organizations, and we hope residents from neighboring areas visit Boseong-gun so that all youth and residents can enjoy the festival together.”

Meanwhile, the ‘Boseong-gun Youth Council’ is an organization that collects opinions from various youth groups, discovers and proposes youth policies by sector, and builds a youth policy network. It has carried out activities such as the Boseong Youth Liberation Meeting, meetings between Boseong-gun council members and the youth council, youth policy forums, and publishing the book ‘Boseong Yesterday, Today, Tomorrow.’

‘Danmihoe’ means sweet and lovely women and is a women’s organization that plans Danmi Festa (flea market, experience and food booths).
