Ulsan Ulju-gun Expands Free Influenza Vaccinations
Ulju-gun, Ulsan City, will expand free influenza vaccination support to include high-risk groups and school-age adolescents.
Starting from October 23, Ulju-gun will provide free influenza vaccinations at 57 local designated medical institutions until vaccine supplies run out. The target groups include residents of Ulju-gun who are in high-risk age groups vulnerable to respiratory infectious diseases, such as those aged 14-18 and 50-64, recipients of basic national livelihood security, persons with disabilities, and national veterans.
For the existing national vaccination target groups outside the expanded support, the free vaccination schedule is as follows: October 20 for children requiring two doses, October 5 for children requiring one dose and pregnant women, October 11 for seniors aged 75 and older, October 16 for seniors aged 70-74, and October 19 for seniors aged 65-69. Vaccinations will be conducted at 76 designated medical institutions within the jurisdiction until April 30 of next year.
The vaccination schedule is as follows: children aged 6 months to 8 years receiving their first-ever vaccination or those who did not complete two doses in the first year will receive two doses at a 4-week interval. Those with a history of two or more vaccinations in the past require only one dose. Children aged 9 years and older and adults will receive one dose regardless of past vaccination history.
Eligible individuals for free influenza vaccination should bring identification and qualification documents such as a resident registration certificate and visit the designated medical institutions listed on the Ulju-gun Public Health Center website to receive the vaccination.
