SKT Obtains 3 International Information Security Standard Certifications "Recognized for Global-Level Information Security"

SK Telecom announced on the 7th that it has obtained international standard certifications (ISO/IEC 27001, 27017, 27018) for information security management systems and cloud service information security and personal information protection, targeting public cloud operation management and related services.
‘ISO/IEC 27001’ is an international standard for Information Security Management Systems (ISMS) established by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) and the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC). This standard defines management systems for information security policies, organization, asset classification, risk analysis, security measures, audits, and more.
Additionally, ‘ISO/IEC 27017’ and ‘ISO/IEC 27018’ are international standards defining security requirements for cloud service providers and cloud service users, respectively. First, ‘ISO/IEC 27017’ specifies requirements for authentication and authorization, data protection, network security, disaster recovery, audits, and reporting. ‘ISO/IEC 27018’ defines requirements related to personal information protection, data sovereignty, security monitoring, and security updates.
By obtaining these three international information security standard certifications, SKT explained that it has been recognized for faithfully complying with international standards in areas such as ▲information security policies ▲human resource security ▲asset management ▲access control ▲encryption ▲physical/environmental security ▲operational security ▲communication security ▲system acquisition/development/maintenance ▲supplier relationship security ▲information security incident management.
