‘Champions Tour powerhouse’ Mo Joong-kyung has expressed his intention to return to the Korean Professional Golfers' Association (KPGA) Korean Tour.
On the 6th, at the final 2nd round of the KPGA Chairman’s Cup Senior Masters (total prize money of 100 million KRW) held at Solago CC Lago Course (par 72, 6,849 yards) in Taean, Chungnam, he reduced his score by 2 strokes to secure a 1-stroke victory (7-under 137). This marks his third win of the season following the 1st Champions Tour event and the 13th Grand CC Cup KPGA Senior Golf Tournament, with a winner’s prize of 16 million KRW. Achieving three wins in a single year on the Champions Tour is the first time in three years since Seok Jong-yul in 2020.

Mo Joong-kyung said, "My putting was not as good as yesterday, so I played a frustrating round. I just thought ‘let’s hold on’ and played accordingly." He added, "During the process of enduring, I made two valuable birdies and was happy to finish with no bogeys." He continued, "I want to finish this year as number one in both the prize money ranking and the overall points on the Champions Tour," expressing confidence that "the goal for the remaining tournaments is, of course, to win."

Mo Joong-kyung is currently balancing between the Korean Tour and the Champions Tour as a seed waiting player this year. He emphasized, "I still have ambitions for the Korean Tour. To be able to compete on the KPGA Korean Tour next year, I will also prepare thoroughly for the Qualifying Tournament (QT) in the second half of the year." Mo Joong-kyung debuted on the Korean Tour in 1997 and is a skilled player with five domestic wins and two wins on the Asian Tour.
