KOTRA and Lotte Hold Indonesia Brand Expo... "Support for SME Market Entry"
Jakarta to Host 'Republic of Korea Brand Expo' from 5th to 8th
KOTRA held a support exhibition event for domestic small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) aiming to enter the Indonesian market in collaboration with Lotte.
On the 5th (local time), KOTRA announced on the 6th that it held the "2023 Korea Brand Expo" event in Jakarta. The event will be held for four days until the 8th.
The event is a Lotte win-win program designed to help SMEs struggling to develop overseas sales channels. Since 2017, KOTRA has been supporting overseas market expansion together with Lotte.
About 100 buyers from Indonesia, Vietnam, Malaysia, and other countries participated, conducting 275 consultations with around 50 Korean SMEs.

At the product promotion event at Jakarta Lotte Shopping Avenue, side events such as K-Pop performances, traditional Korean music (gugak) performances, K-food tasting sessions, and makeup shows were held, along with promotional activities for the "2030 Busan World Expo" bid.
Demand for Korean consumer goods such as cosmetics and food and beverages is increasing in Southeast Asia. Although Korea's consumer goods exports decreased by 0.7% compared to the previous year, exports to ASEAN (Association of Southeast Asian Nations) reached $5.66 billion (7.55 trillion KRW), an increase of 7.2%.

Jung Woyeong, Head of KOTRA's Innovation Growth Division, said, "Indonesia, celebrating the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations this year, is an important economic cooperation partner for Korea," adding, "KOTRA plans to continue support projects such as assisting with entry into distribution networks to expand market access in Southeast Asia, focusing on Indonesia."
