Muan-gun Muan-eup Youth Association Successfully Hosts the 15th Midsummer Night Festival

Invited Singers, B-Boy Performances, Band Shows, and EDM Party Unfold in Variety

The Muan-eup Youth Association of Muan-gun, Jeollanam-do (President Jang Junho) announced on the 5th that it held the 15th Midsummer Night Festival in grand style on the 1st at the outdoor stage of the Muan Seungdal Culture and Arts Center, attended by about 700 people including Kim San, the governor of Muan-gun, provincial and county council members, and local residents.

This event, held for the 15th time this year, provided a harmonious venue where everyone became one by cooling down the midsummer heat with sweet melodies and lively rhythms on summer nights, serving as a source of vitality for local residents exhausted by the heat.

The event featured performances by invited singers such as Jeong Sam, Lee Cheongha, and Nongsuro, as well as diverse shows including b-boying, Nanta, band performances, and an EDM party. Free draft beer was also provided, allowing attendees to relieve accumulated stress and enjoy a pleasant time.

President Jang Junho of the Youth Association said, “Since this event was held for the first time in five years due to COVID-19, we prepared various programs and beverages, so I hope everyone forgets the exhaustion and hardships of the hot summer and enjoys themselves. We plan to continue making new attempts for regional development and harmony.”

Lee Suka, mayor of Muan-eup, said, “I deeply appreciate the hard work of the youth members who prepared this event grandly. We will continue to discover various programs that local residents can enjoy together.”

Meanwhile, the Muan-eup Youth Association has been practicing various volunteer activities for the local community since 2006, including holding the midsummer night event annually, delivering rice of love, free sharing of love jajangmyeon, trail maintenance, and environmental cleanup activities.
