On that day, the seafood sales business inspection event thoroughly checked the implementation status of seafood origin labeling together with the government origin inspection team, honorary monitors, and the Seafood Safety National Communication Group.
At the subsequent meeting, the city actively requested government-level support to continuously create an environment where citizens can safely enjoy our delicious and nutritious seafood and to help resolve the difficulties currently faced by fishermen.
Last month, Mokpo City signed a business agreement with the Mokpo Regional Oceans and Fisheries Office to promote seafood consumption activation, and together with related organizations, conducted campaigns at the Mokpo Fisheries Cooperative Auction Market, Jindo Seafood Market, and other locations, encouraging the purchase of seafood to support fishermen in distress.
A city official stated, “We will continue to join forces with neighboring local governments and related organizations to promote the excellence of our safe seafood and do our best to activate seafood consumption.”
