Pyeongtaek City Holds Research Service Report Meeting on 'Basic Population Policy Plan'
Proposal of 50 Projects Including 'Pyeongtaek-type Share House'
On the 4th, Pyeongtaek City in Gyeonggi Province announced that it recently held the final report meeting for the research project to establish the 'Pyeongtaek City Population Policy Basic Plan.'
At the report meeting attended by Jeong Jang-seon, Mayor of Pyeongtaek, city officials, city council members, and population policy committee members, the research firm presented promotion strategies under the vision of 'Pyeongtaek, a place where all citizens want to live,' including ▲ guaranteeing a hopeful future for the younger generation ▲ creating a family-friendly local community environment ▲ preparing a vibrant foundation for middle-aged and elderly citizens ▲ building a cooperative community base.
As detailed strategies, a total of 50 projects across four areas were proposed. The major projects presented this time include ▲ supply of Pyeongtaek-style share houses ▲ expansion of interest support for newlywed couples' jeonse loans ▲ creation of playgrounds for everyone ▲ essential medical support projects in local neighborhoods ▲ attraction of middle-aged technology startup centers ▲ citizen vitality promotion projects through lifelong learning in the era of 100 years ▲ promotion of Pyeongtaek-style family-friendly certified companies ▲ support for the Global Challenge House, among others.
The city plans to establish the basic plan based on the results of this research project and then prepare annual implementation plans to promote population policies tailored to regional characteristics.
