Gyeonggawon Deploys Unmanned Guide Robot 'Gwangdori'
The Gyeonggi-do Economic Science Promotion Agency has deployed an unmanned guide robot named 'Gwangdori' in the lobby of the Gyeonggi-do Agency to support the digital transformation and enhance customer service at Suwon Gwanggyo Technovalley.
Gwangdori is designed to monitor events in real-time via wireless communication and provide guidance accordingly. It features various functions including autonomous driving and object detection for facility guidance, voice recognition, video broadcasting, photo shooting, and transmission.
In response to the surge in facility rental events and visitors after COVID-19, the agency introduced the unmanned robot to improve service levels such as ▲Today's event information ▲Escort to event venues and related organizations ▲Providing welcome and arrival/departure greetings.
The name Gwangdori is derived from 'Gwang' and 'Do' (道) of Gwanggyo Technovalley, symbolizing both the introduction of Gwanggyo Technovalley and guiding customers on their visit paths.

Jae Jin-su, Executive Director of the Future Growth Division at the Gyeonggi-do Agency, stated, "We expect customer convenience to be significantly enhanced through the pilot introduction of the guide robot 'Gwangdori.' We will review operational results and expand the use of guide robots to provide better customer service in the future."
