Departmental Support Task Progress Report Meeting Held

The weightlifting competition of the 104th National Sports Festival will be held at the Wando-gun Farmers and Fishermen Culture and Sports Center from the 13th to the 18th of next month.

According to Wando-gun on the 4th, about 580 participants including athletes, officials, and referees are expected to take part in the weightlifting event of the National Sports Festival.

Accordingly, Wando-gun held a departmental support work progress meeting on the 30th of last month.

A progress report meeting on departmental support tasks is being held in preparation for the weightlifting competition at the 104th National Sports Festival.

The meeting was organized to check the progress of tasks assigned to each department and to gather various opinions on problems encountered during the process in order to devise countermeasures.

The key inspection items included △ overall preparation for the competition △ operation of the venue information desk △ parking and traffic measures △ management measures for lodging and restaurants △ cultural and artistic side events △ torch reception events △ medical and emergency support △ infectious disease control measures, etc.

Choi Kwang-yoon, Director of the Sports Promotion Division, said, “We will do our best to prepare for the competition by establishing an organic cooperation system among departments so that the athletes and spectators participating in the National Sports Festival weightlifting event do not experience any inconvenience during the event.”

Meanwhile, the 104th National Sports Festival will be held at 62 venues including Mokpo Sports Complex starting on the 13th of next month, with the weightlifting competition taking place in Wando-gun.
