UK to Establish Memorial Hall Commemorating 100th Anniversary of Queen Elizabeth's Birth
The UK government will establish a permanent memorial to commemorate the 100th anniversary of Queen Elizabeth II's birth in 2026.
On the 3rd (local time), the UK government announced plans to establish a memorial for Queen Elizabeth, who passed away last September, according to reports from AP and AFP.
Robin Janvrin, who was Queen Elizabeth's private secretary, will lead the newly launched independent body, the "Queen Elizabeth Memorial Commission," to carry out the plan.
UK Deputy Prime Minister Oliver Dowden said, "Sir Janvrin is beginning the important work of designing a fitting tribute to Queen Elizabeth's dedication to our country and the Commonwealth."

The commission also plans to propose a national heritage program honoring the Queen, considering her public service and the values she supported.
