"Let's Draw the Future of Industrial Complexes Together with the People"
Design the Future Industrial Complex of the Republic of Korea

The Korea Industrial Complex Corporation (President Lee Sang-hoon) announced on the 3rd that it will hold a contest titled "Design the Future Industrial Complex of Korea," which envisions a new image of industrial complexes desired by the public and industrial complex workers, in celebration of the 60th anniversary of the designation of industrial complexes in 2024.
This contest is part of the industrial complex revitalization strategy announced by the government on the 24th, and will include themes such as ▲transition to advanced and new industries ▲transformation into spaces where industry, culture, and leisure coexist and attract young people.
The contest themes are ▲digital transformation of industrial complexes ▲realization of low carbon ▲spaces visited by youth and local residents. Participants are to express industrial complexes reflecting a future image with global competitiveness through images or videos. Anyone interested in industrial complexes can participate, either individually or in teams of up to three members.
Applications must be submitted by 3 PM on October 16th via the contest website by submitting the application form. The production process is divided into two stages: first, submitting images such as drawings or bird’s-eye views, and second, submitting videos. Videos must be original, three minutes or less, and three-dimensional.
The submitted first-stage image works will be evaluated through public voting and internal and external expert review to select candidates for the second-stage evaluation. Those selected for the second stage will receive separate funding of 1.5 million KRW for video production.
The awards include ▲Grand Prize: Minister of Trade, Industry and Energy Award and 10 million KRW (1 work), ▲Excellence Awards: Chairman of the Local Era Committee Award and 4 million KRW (2 works), Co-Growth Committee Chairman Award and 4 million KRW (2 works), ▲Merit Awards: President of Korea Industrial Complex Corporation Award and 2 million KRW (5 works). The total prize money amounts to 36 million KRW.
