View original imageThis challenge began on the 27th of last month at the National Assembly as a joint campaign with the Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries called the "Seafood Consumption and Fishing Village Vacation Promotion Campaign," aiming to support fishing villages and fishermen struggling due to the discharge of contaminated water from the Fukushima nuclear power plant in Japan.
Mayor Hong conveyed a message emphasizing that local seafood is safely distributed through a thorough inspection system and asked people to trust and use seafood from our seas to provide great support to fishing villages and fishermen.

Mayor Hong joined the challenge upon the nomination of BNK Financial Group Chairman Bin Daein, and he nominated National Assembly member Kim Youngseon and Changwon City Council Chairman Kim Igeun as the next participants.
