Gwangju Gwangsan Police Station Strengthens Patrols to Prevent Random Crimes
The Gwangsan Police Station in Gwangju is strengthening patrols focused on crime-prone areas in collaboration with the Volunteer Crime Prevention Unit.
This is to prevent recent consecutive incidents of random motivation crimes (so-called "random attacks").
Currently, about 400 members of the Gwangsan-gu Volunteer Crime Prevention Unit, including the Volunteer Crime Prevention Federation and neighborhood volunteer units, are actively operating.
Jo Yoon-hee, Head of the Community Safety Division, said on the 1st, "By conducting joint patrols, we will take the lead in making the area a place where citizens can feel safe."
