Lotte Wellfood Appoints 'NewJeans' as Global Ambassador for Pepero
Lotte Wellfood (formerly Lotte Confectionery) announced on the 1st that it has appointed ‘NewJeans’ as the official global ambassador for the Pepero brand.
Since 2020, Lotte Wellfood has continuously carried out global integrated campaigns aligned with Pepero Day on November 11 under various concepts such as ‘Let’s get closer together’ and ‘Say Hello with PEPERO’. Marking the fourth year since the full-scale launch of the global integrated campaign, this year they plan to actively expand Pepero’s global marketing by significantly increasing the target countries to 17, including the Philippines, Hong Kong, Taiwan, and Kazakhstan, together with NewJeans. Leveraging the global influence of the official ambassador NewJeans, they aim to infuse the Pepero brand with a unique and trendy image to enhance global brand awareness.
The slogan of the Pepero global integrated campaign is ‘Say Hello with PEPERO’. It conveys a warm message of empathy by sharing Pepero, which can express feelings more than ten words in various everyday situations.

Starting from mid-September, they will launch full-scale Pepero marketing activities to target global consumers. Video content capturing the fresh encounter between NewJeans and Lotte Wellfood’s representative character ‘Pepero Friends’ will be released through various media including TV and digital platforms. For domestic and international fans, edition products featuring NewJeans’ image stylishly applied on the packaging will be introduced, along with special gifts exuding a unique sensibility available through select domestic distribution channels. Additionally, to establish Pepero Day as a global festival, large-scale Pepero brand pop-up stores are being planned both domestically and overseas.
