On the 1st, the Office announced that it has become the first among all metropolitan and provincial offices of education nationwide to open the 5G national network system for smart work.
The 5G national network system was fully launched on this day after building the infrastructure for four months and conducting on-site installation, training, and pilot operation for two months targeting about 1,000 employees at the northern and southern government buildings.
This 5G national network construction project is based on 5th generation cellular technology and consists of information security devices that separate internal and external networks, and cloud PCs configured as virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI) for external network PCs.
In particular, the system has been further strengthened to prevent information leakage by complying with various security regulations, including the National Intelligence Service's information security guidelines, and integrating various security devices.
This is the first time since the Ministry of the Interior and Safety's pilot project that a single institution has built a work network using 5G wireless communication technology.
When the Office moved to the Gwanggyo new government building last May, it promoted the introduction of the Gyeonggi Provincial Office of Education-type smart work, which works "anytime, anywhere, flexibly, and smartly," to establish a support system foundation for rapidly changing future education.
With the opening of the 5G national network, the spatial limitations of existing smart work, which was only possible within the government building such as G-Cloud, Smart Office, and autonomous seating system, have been overcome, creating working conditions that enable mobile drafting and approval using laptops.
Whether during vehicle movement, business trips, or remote work at smart work centers, ultra-connected and ultra-fast work processing will be possible anytime and anywhere, making the "Gyeonggi Provincial Office of Education-type smart work" even more robust.
