Muan-gun Joins Forces with Local Provincial Assembly Members to Secure Provincial Funding for Next Year
Na Gwang-guk and Jeong Gil-su, Jeonnam Provincial Assembly Members, Engage in In-Depth Discussion on Solutions for Current Issues
Muan-gun, Jeollanam-do (Governor Kim San) held a meeting on the 31st to discuss local pending projects with provincial council members and to request provincial government funding support.
Muan County is having in-depth discussions with local provincial council members on securing key provincial funding projects for next year and solutions to current issues.

According to the county, 12 people attended the meeting, including Governor Kim San, Jeollanam-do council members Na Gwang-guk and Jeong Gil-su, the Planning Director, and heads of major project departments. They shared concerns over the difficulty of securing national and provincial funds due to the government's fiscal tightening policy and had in-depth discussions with local council members on securing key provincial funding projects for next year and solutions for pending issues.
Muan-gun actively requested support and cooperation for 15 major projects, including △ Relocation and construction of the Muan-gun Youth Training Center (5 billion KRW) △ Installation of the Muan Mudflat Exploration Bridge (9.8 billion KRW) △ Creation of the Hwangto Mudflat Land Scenic Walkway (9.9 billion KRW) △ Development of the Ujeok-dong Catholic Pilgrimage Site as a tourist attraction (5.6 billion KRW) △ Remodeling of the Muan-gun Seungdal Culture and Arts Center (1.9 billion KRW), among others.
Local council members stated, “We will carefully consider and deliberate on the promotion plans for the major pending projects discussed at the meeting and do our best to secure the budget so that these key projects can proceed without any setbacks.”
Governor Kim San said, “Establishing communication and cooperation systems with local council members is very important for the smooth progress of county government pending projects. Although we have received much help so far, I ask for active efforts to ensure that the county’s major projects related to local issues and social infrastructure expansion are reflected in Jeollanam-do’s policies.”
