Audi A7 Plug-in Hybrid
Elegant Design with Economical Fuel Efficiency
Selectable Pure Electric, Internal Combustion, and Hybrid Modes
Hybrid Combined Fuel Efficiency '15.7 km/l'
The plug-in hybrid (PHEV) model of Audi's 4-door coupe A7 offers three driving modes depending on the driving situation. These are EV mode, which drives using only electricity; Battery Hold mode, which runs solely on the internal combustion engine; and Hybrid mode, which uses both electric and internal combustion engines together.
First, the EV mode, which operates using only electricity, powers the vehicle solely by electricity unless the driver presses the accelerator pedal past a variable pressure point that can be sensed. EV mode is set as the default every time the vehicle is started.
The second driving mode, Battery Hold mode, drives using only the internal combustion engine without using the electric motor. The drive management system maintains the battery capacity at the current level, allowing a set distance to be driven using only the electric motor.
The third mode, Hybrid mode, maximizes the use of the electric motor over as much of the driving distance as possible through the interaction of the electric motor and internal combustion engine. This mode enables efficient driving by minimizing overall fuel consumption.
The Audi A7 55 TFSI e Quattro Premium is equipped with a 2.0ℓ 4-cylinder gasoline direct injection turbocharger (TFSI) engine and an electric motor. It delivers a combined maximum output of 367 horsepower and a combined maximum torque of 51.0 kg·m. Fuel efficiency is rated at 15.7 km/ℓ based on combined engine and electric motor consumption. When driving with the electric motor, the electric efficiency is 3.0 km/kWh on a combined basis, and the driving range per single charge is 47 km on a combined basis.
The exterior design features the S line exterior package as standard, preserving a sophisticated and elegant design while adding dynamism. The front is equipped with 'HD Matrix LED headlights,' which provide a wider visible range through densely arranged beams with higher brightness than standard LEDs. Inside, features such as black headlining and an electric steering wheel column create a luxurious and refined atmosphere.
The various standard safety and convenience systems also stand out. Two radar sensors mounted at the rear of the vehicle detect fast-approaching objects from behind. In such cases, the vehicle is equipped with a disembarkation warning system that can send alerts or lock the doors automatically. Additionally, advanced convenience features such as adaptive cruise control, front and rear parking assist systems, surround view display, 360° camera, and side assist are applied.
