Haman-gun Holds Resident Briefing on Bicycle Path Connection Project Utilizing Railway Idle Land
On the 30th, Haman-gun, Gyeongnam held a residents' briefing session at the Gunbuk-myeon Office for the bicycle road connection project utilizing idle railway land (between Gunbuk and Jinju).
About 30 people, including local residents and local council members, attended the briefing session, which proceeded with explanations of the project overview and a Q&A session with residents. The county plans to review the residents' opinions received through this briefing and reflect them in the design service.

This project started the basic and detailed design service in June 2022 and finally passed the review for the railway idle land utilization project this month. A bicycle road with a total length of 6.7 km and a width of 5.5 m will be constructed from Haman Independence Park in Deokdae-ri, Gunbuk-myeon to Ibanseong-myeon, Jinju-si, with a project cost of 4 billion KRW expected to be invested.

An official from the county said, “We will review the opinions presented at this residents' briefing and reflect them in the design. We will do our best to contribute to the development of local tourism and the revitalization of the local economy through increased inflow of external visitors thanks to this project.”
