Veteran with 4 PGA Tour Wins Including the US Open
Gary Woodland (USA), the 2019 major tournament US Open champion, is scheduled to undergo surgery due to brain lesion symptoms.
On the 30th (local time), he revealed through his social media (SNS), "I was diagnosed with a brain lesion several months ago and have been undergoing medication treatment," adding, "After consulting with experts and my family, we concluded that surgery is the best option." The surgery date is set for September 18.
Woodland, born in 1984, is currently ranked 73rd in the world. He is a veteran with a total of four wins on the PGA Tour, including the 2019 US Open. In 2017, his wife Gabby was pregnant with twins, but one was born about two months early, and the other was lost, causing great pain. He also went through two miscarriages in 2018 and had twin daughters in 2019. He has four children in total.

This season, Woodland participated in 24 tournaments, achieving two top-10 finishes, including a tie for 9th place at the Houston Open last November and the Genesis Invitational in February. His best major tournament result this year was a tie for 14th place at the Masters in April. He finished the season ranked 73rd in the money list ($2,256,535) and 94th in the FedEx Cup standings (465 points).
